This is my 1979 Mini. It's a 998cc manual and has done 55,000 miles.
It's painted in Porsche Signal Green, with a retrimmed interior in black with matching green stripes and trim. It also has a carbon fibre effect dashboard panel and Mountney vintage-style steering wheel. Other upgrades include a Maniflow exhaust, modern halogen headlights, front disc brakes, 12" x 5.5" alloy wheels and painted extended wheel arches.
It has just passed an MOT - now valid to March 2019.
I've kept invoices for most of the major parts I've replaced in the time I've owned it, and for any garage work I've had done. It's been really well maintained and loved. It's been serviced every 6,000 miles, had an oil and filter change every 3,000 and been coated with Waxoyl underneath every year. The braking system was recently almost entirely replaced.
The bodywork is rust-free, apart from a tiny bit of bubbling under the left headlight. The underside is in good condition and both subframes are solid. I recently had the battery box and part of the boot floor replaced and repainted.
I believe the car started life as an 850 automatic, but it's been changed to a 998cc manual quite some time ago - before 2002, according to the DVLA. By all accounts, the engine it has seems to have done very similar milage. It's nice and taught, with plenty of power, and runs on unleaded.
I can include a silver Disklok steering lock with the car, as well as an outdoor waterproof breathable cover, each worth around £100.
This is a brilliant little car that's given me so much fun - I just sadly have to sell because I need to do more motorway driving for work now.
I'm open to offers, so please let me know if you'd like to take a look at it or have any questions.
