A lovely example of a 1934 swept wing MG J2 that has been cared for by an MG enthusiast for the last 20 years.
This is a good example of the desired flared wing model MG J2 which has a very sound body, excellent front and rear wings, petrol tank, front apron and excellent bonnet all with excellent paintwork. The chrome work to the radiator (fitted with a “Bonora” quick release radiator cap) windscreen and windscreen supports are also in good condition. The interior of the MG has been finished with black carpeting with a green interior trim and matching green seating which is also in good sound condition. The MG still fitted with its period MG gearbox has the ever reliable Ford E93a engine fitted in it which sounds when being driven exciting and feels very safe and sound and accelerates with ease when slipping through the gears with no trouble at all. The chassis, front and rear axles are still in excellent condition and still have the original set of 19″ outside lace wheels fitted. Also included with the MG is a full length tonneau, hood and pair of “Brooklands” aero screens. There is also a fairly comprehensive history file on the history of the car.
In addition to the MG, (at an extra cost ) there is the POSSIBILITY of acquiring an original MG J2 engine, fitted with a “Phoenix” crankshaft which has been partially dismantled for inspection. £5250
