1995 Rally / Race Car Gr. A For Sale

This vehicle was built in 1995 for Race / Rally Saab R900 Tubo front-wheel drive Gr. Aur Saab Germany for the 24-hour race.
Only Saab racing car in Germany, 3 pieces worldwide, all developments and conversion work served at the same time to the Gr: A homologation with the FIA.
The vehicle is identical to the facelift model Saab 9-3 (following series of the Saab 900II), which was built up to and including 2002. For this, the homologation applies as well.
This car can be used on circuit or rally on asphalt. Alternative fuels are possible.

The vehicle was street legal with a motor vehicle letter, the motor sport conversions are registered in the motor vehicle letter. The vehicle has run about 6000km.

HISTORY:
- 24 hours race Nürburgring 1995 with driver Strycek, Lammers, Jansen. Training result 23rd place, final result 74th place (about 2. 5 hours service life due to accident and defect in the chassis and gearbox), several fastest lap laps at night, in the rain by Volker Strycek (Grand Prix circuit + Nordschleife in 9:22 min).
- Fair presentation at the IAA 1995 in Frankfurt;

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Engine: 1999 cc, with turbocharger, about 285 hp at 5800 rpm, 470 Nm at 4400 rpm, over 250 Nm already at 2000 rpm;

The car was completely rebuilt in the years 2014/ 2015 and repainted inside and outside in a specialist workshop.



The following parts were renewed in 2015, starter, alternator, wheel bearings, drive shafts, brake pads (front new racing brake pads) Zündbox, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, crankshaft sensor, etc.



In 2015, a new differential lock with a 40% locking effect was installed. Because there is nothing off the rack for this car sad_graphical the lock was made by a former F1 gear specialist.

When installing a new sintered metal clutch and a Sachs Sport pressure plate was used further was also a facilitated aluminum flywheel installed by Abbott Racing.
