The Bentley S3 was first presented at the Mondial de l'Automobile in October 1962. In the standard version with factory bodywork the car was produced as a four-door saloon from 1962 to 1965.

The main external difference to the predecessor S2 was the new front design, now with four instead of two headlights. This also represented the transition to the completely renewed design of the successor T1.

In the interior, the S3 was equipped with individual seats for driver and front passenger, and the dashboard was also fitted with padded impact protection. In the rear, the seat bench has been moved back approx. 5 cm to increase legroom and has been fitted with modified shoulder padding.

The 6.2-litre V8 engine of the predecessor was slightly reworked, with larger carburettors and a compression ratio increased from 8:1 to 9:1, the power output was increased by 7 percent. The power steering was also improved and could now be operated with lower steering forces.

As in the case of the predecessor, Bentley also offered a special sporty version of the S3 called Continental. Here Bentley supplied only the ready-to-drive chassis; the body was supplied by independent bodybuilders on behalf of the customer. S3 bodies were supplied by Mulliner Park Ward and James Young.

Our vehicle is one of only 98 examples of the Continenal Flying Spur with Mulliner Park Ward bodywork.

The Bentley was completely restored in England in the 90's and recently overhauled. It is in beautiful condition.
