FOR SALE; 1936 WOLSELEY WASP (Blossom)
This is a unique opportunity to purchase an 81 year old classic car with pedigree
and known provenance. Only 4 owners from new according to DVLA 1056cc OHC
One of the photographs show Blossom competing in 1982 at Shelsley Walsh hill climb whilst taking part in the invitation RAC Lombard rally This rally was called the Golden Fifty Lombard Rally to celebrate 50 years of the RAC. The driver was a Cec Offley and the co driver/navigator was Rob Lyall.
As far as we know she completed the whole rally including the Shelsley Walsh.
Blossom has had a complete overhaul of engine and gearbox. Between December 2010 to February 2011
Together with the crank and flywheel being balanced, a complete replacement of pistons, rings, timing chain, white metal bearings was undertaken.
The gear box was overhauled and new main drive and front end bearings installed together with new clutch plates, bearings and seals.
A total of 983 miles have been driven since the refurbishment. Basically just run in.
All wheel slave brake cylinders have been refurbished and stainless steel liners inserted.
Fuel tank has been relined and tested.
New head lining installed.
All main head lamp lighting is as original with a drop off switch in the near side lamp.
Blossom is a very reliable car and in very good condition considering her age.
The main chassis and under running gear are very clean and in good order.
I also have a collection of new spares should they be required.
This very Rare and Special car, is the ONLY known Survivor in the WORLD.
It spent 70 Years of its life overseas.
