This is a very extremely rare bike; only 9 (nine) 350 Desmo’s were ever imported into Australia.
This Ducati 350 Desmo was originally owned for many years by, Joe Biondillo, of East Fremantle, WA. Joe Biondillo was a Perth enthusiast who had a reasonable sized collection. It is believed Joe purchased the bike new in WA as it had been fitted with rather ugly aftermarket blinkers. Only the WA delivered bikes received these retro fitted blinkers, something performed by the local importer in 1974. The current owner purchased this bike in March 2011.
Restoration: This motorcycle has undergone very minor refurbishment as below.
Minor paint repairs matched to original colour.
Cylinder head strip-down & overhaul by Ian Gowanloch, including hardened valve inserts.
Reproduction Conti chrome Staintune exhaust system.
Marzocchi rear shocks
This bike has the correct numbers and is a genuine 350 Desmo. Great sounding and very appealing motorcycle. One of only nine originally imported and delivered new to Australia in 1974.
