An incredible opportunity to purchase an extremely unique and legendary 1971 Fiat Dino 2400 Coupe.
As you may be aware, this car is very special to Ferrari and Fiat where they needed each other in the mid-sixties. Ferrari needed assistance to continue in Formula 2 racing with their legendary V6 motor (best sounding engine!) and yes this Fiat Dino 2400 coupe makes part of this history (see http://www.fiatdinocoupe2400.dk/59879466 further information).
Moreover, the Fiat Dino 2400 Coupe was manufactured in Ferrari Maranello (unlike the 2000 Coupe) and was built alongside the Ferrari Dino 246GT and also has the same ZF gearbox and Girling brakes. The Ferrari Dino 246GT has sky rocketed in price today and even the up and coming Shannons Spring Auction lists the Dino 246GT with a range of more than $400,000 as is the very same engine present in this vehicle we have for sale.
This vehicle drives exceptionally and has been well maintained with all receipts included. The vehicle does have a few imperfections in paint work as you would expect for a car of this age.
No expense spared in maintaining this car. The Vehicle has been road registered with Vic Club Plates (not transferable) and engineering by A Enkelman based in Victoria that attests to the excellent condition and compliance with Australian Standards as marked in the engine bay. The Vehicle comes with original Fiat Dino Coupe Owners Manual.
In Europe enthusiasts just as the Ferrari Dino 246GT are realizing that the Fiat Dino are not far apart and only closer to the legend of this era with even the tail lights on this Fiat Dino Coupe being the same as the Lamborghini Miura. Recent sales for the same specification in Europe has reached EUR 113,000 (see last image).
This Vehicle has also been inspired with badges from the world’s famous Millie Miglia race as it appears on the grille and side stickers.
