Hi,I'm editing this ad because of the amount of time wasters and spurious e-mails from canvassers and daydreamers.I have included all the relevant info in the ad , please read it !!!I am prepared to ship the vehicle anywhere in the world BUT this will only be discussed when you are viewing the car, likewise i will NOT discuss price or any other deals unless you are actually viewing the car !!!
I'm advertising this car for my elderly father who feels that the task of finishing the car to the standards it deserves is now too much for him.
Dad will sell for the price listed below but he is also interested in a part exchange or swap for a similarly priced vehicle. He's interested in 1930's or 1940's saloons, they must be road legal and running ... no projects or restorations .
The car is a Rod Yates bodied Ulster Special built on a 1936 Austin Ruby chassis. As such it has the original Austin Ruby engine of 797cc i believe and has the standard 4 seped gearbox. It's presently road legal and running and is garaged on the course of the original Ards TT race, how many Ulster replicas can claim that!.The car IS road legal and completely rust free but I would describe it as 95% complete, it has been finished to an acceptable, rather than exceptional level.
The interior is usable but has been finished on a budget and a quality re-trim would improve the car enormously. Mechanically the engine and gearbox are great with no issues but the car may need a new fuel pump or possibly a re-build kit.The body is perfect with no damage or corrosion. I've given as honest a description as i can and any prospective buyer should be aware the car needs a few cosmetic changes to truly make this an outstanding replica, hence we have priced it accordingly.
