1959 TR3A in bright red.4 speed manual gearbox. Detachable factory supplied hard top as well as normal soft top. Refurbished wheels with original Triumph wheel hubs. Fitted with twin Stronberg carburettors (original Amals included). New carpets and replacement seat covers. Engine runs sweetly and mechanicals look original and tidy. This Californian car comes with a Heritage Certificate.
Executor sale – sadly my dear friend Ian passed away before the car had cleared customs in the UK. I collected it from the docks, gave her a check over. With fresh fuel and a new battery she was running within the hour. The car is left hand drive.
The engine starts easily and runs sweetly and doesn’t smoke. Under the bonnet it looks original – probably a new starter motor and fuel pump. Drives OK in the yard – but not taken on the road as not UK registered.
Exterior chrome good, bumpers are probably new? Paint fair/good but peeling in places. She would benefit from a re-spray. Replacement seat covers to driver and passenger seats. Rear parcel shelf original there is a small split on one side – repairable.
Factory supplied detachable hard top needs repainting. Soft top, possibly the original has a small repair on right side but otherwise it’s in good condition. She comes complete with rigid Plexiglas side ‘curtains’ which would benefit from a repaint. The spare wheel is missing.
I have the USA title documents. The car is taxes paid and ready to register.
I have a lot of pictures and will answer any questions to the best of my ability – but I don’t know my way around Triumphs (I have a 1926 Morris!)

This 1959 Triumph TR3A has been in storage for 25 years. It looks to be a matching numbers car and would be an excellent candidate for a ground up restoration. Original body colour Pearl White, with traces of a red interior. The car was painted over in red, and covered in black primer prior to storage.
