Affectionately known as 'Bella', this delightful and very rare little Fiat Belvedere, is one of just 60 RHD examples built. It is also Mille Miglia eligible, as Fiat entered a number of this model in the 1950s so this represents a chance to obtain probably the least expensive potential entrant for the 2019 event.
This is one of the last of the immortal Topolino models, with full sunroof, powered by a 569cc overhead valve engine, driving through a four speed gearbox. The engine was rebuilt four years ago and much work was undertaken on the transmission and interior. The car sits on new Michelin X tyres, which have probably covered less than a 100 miles. The body and interior are in exceptional condition, with new rubber matting of the correct type and the seats have been retrimmed.
Originally shipped to Blantyre which was then the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, (now Malawi), the car was shipped to the UK when its owner retired. The current owner acquired the car some 5 years ago and completed the restoration work required to bring the car close to concours condition.
An extensive history and the original log book, dated 27th April 1955 are provided.
A delightful little motor car - straight out of La Dolce Vita, 'Bella' is sure to attract considerable interest and admiring looks wherever she goes.
