Mr D'arcys, are offering for sale, this stunning P2 Rover. This is the 10hp freewheel model, which is working perfectly.
You may recognise it from the TV series Foyles war, as this lovely lady was in a number of episodes filmed in Dublin in 2012. She even kept one of the old scripts for posterity, and this will come with the car when she goes to her new owner. These Rovers are very hard to find, and to find one in this condition is very tough indeed. This lovely lady was with her previous owner for 11 years, and during that time, he has spent a huge amount of time and effort in getting her to this stunning condition. This car would have cost three times a Ford prefect in her time, and was a luxury car that was fully equipped with everything from fold out window, to heater and time clock. There is far too much completed to fully list here, but to give you some of the highlights. An extensive rechrome of bumpers, lights, grill, and windscreen surround was carried out by Derby plating services in 2013 at a cost of in excess of £1300. All new high quality carpets made to order. Full professional respray, gearbox and engine rebuilt. New springs, shocks, tyres and much more. Email me if you want the full list of works completed. The last owner of this lady has made her into a car that turns heads wherever it goes. It has a functioning sunroof, period (his masters voice) radio fitted. The interior seats were refurbished to a good standard which would also keep them original and her patina is in keeping with her age of nearly 75 years.
She was imported to Ireland in 1999, and had an original UK registration SFO454. It is not known if that was her original plate, as it may have been re registered during its life. The original VIN is 6110390, so it is possible to check her background.
This is a very fine example of the iconic P2, and is ready to drive away for the upcoming season. Mr D'arcys are located 20 mins from Dublin Airport, and can provide transport if required. We ship vehicles across the water on a regular basis, and can facilitate delivery to you if required. For more information on this lovely lady you can email, or call us for more information. She will be advertised on our website where there will be a good selection of photographs.

Rare and desirable four-light Sports Saloon version from Rover’s P2 range.
These elegant and sporting Rovers are hugely undervalued compared with their peers, Riley and Triumph for example, and are beautifully built motor cars.
This example shows a mere 69,100 miles on the odometer which could quite .....
