We have just launched our new venture - conversions to 'electric' power of the little 'Classic' Fiat 500 Cinquecento! Please visit - details above for full details.
We believe that with all the proposed restrictions on petrol and diesel-powered cars that 'electric classics' are the way forward.
We have developed these Fiat 500's in conjunction with Mid Wales-based Electric Classic Cars ( - details above) and they are all powered by a Brushless 3 Phase AC Double Winding Electric Motor from HPEVS (High Performance Electric Vehicle Systems) which gives 47HP AND 70 lbs ft of torque from 0 mph and each have 3 x Tesla batteries in the standard version.
They also have their original gearboxes which the Electric Motor is bolted on to and they can be operated by selecting either 2nd or 3rd (or Reverse) gear or the Gearbox can be used in the conventional manner if required.
Modifications to the suspension and driveshafts are carried out and the cars are also fitted with uprated front Disc Brakes.
The Fiats will top 70mph and depending on the way they are driven, they will manage around 50-75 miles between charges. They can also be charged at home overnight with a 13amp plug or by using one of the numerous charging points available.
These vehicles are ideal for London conditions and are extremely cheap to run with free 'historic vehicle' Road Tax, free Congestion Charge and are of course eligible for Classic Car Insurance.
Maintenance costs are pretty much zero, although the car will need the conventional MOT test each year including checks on the Tyres, Brakes, Suspension and Steering.
Prices will start @ £25,000 depending on the model and specification, so why not come and test drive our demonstrator. You will be totally amazed at the performance and how well these little cars drive.
See our website for further details: - details above or please call or email us with any questions.
