A very rare rotary engined Citroen GS Birotor which was only built between 1973 and 1975, which has survived in extremely good overall condition. This is an extremely rare example of Citroen's venture into a Rotary Valve engine based on the NSU design, which was in production for a very short period with sold cars being bought back by Citroen and destroyed, resulting in very few remaining.
Purchased in France by its motor engineer owner, the car has been kept in extremely good condition. having covered only 74662 Kms (46664 miles) from new. In original gold and bronze two tone finish complimented by a tweed interior, the car is extremely original with only two small blemishes to the paintwork.
We have now further research available on the car, and it was in fact one of the cars bought back by Citroen, and kept by a Citroen employee before being sold to a Citroen enthusiast who family owned a Citroen ownership in Normandy. It was then sold to a Citroen dealership in Brittany who kept it as part of their collection, it then had one further owner in France before being purchased the current owner, on whose behalf we are selling the car.

A two rotors GS was launched in 1973. Dubbed the Citroën GS Birotor, it featured a much more powerful 107 PS (79 kW) Wankel birotor produced by the joint NSU-Citroën Comotor project.
The Birotor version achieved poor sales and was quickly pulled from the market, after 847 units .....
