Austin Westminster A110 3 litre manual with overdrive.
Finished in its original colour, this is a very sound, original example of this big, fast saloon favoured by the boys in blue in the 60’s.
The interior is nicely worn in, lovely comfortable big leather seats, wood trim abounds (some of the lacquer is pealing on the door trims), the original headlining is good (although it could be improved with a gentle clean).
The underside of the car is covered in thick black greasy stuff, which when scraped off shows the original white paint on the chassis rails and floors, both front out riggers and the rear 12” of both outer sills have had repairs, but the rest of the underside looks to be the original metal, which if you know much about 1960’s BMC products, is quite something!
The car has been repainted at some time in the past, the paint does show its age in places with a few minor dinks and a couple of areas of micro blistering, but overall it is quite presentable as a daily driver, likewise the chrome polishes up, but does have a bit of damage on both rear bumper corners.
The car starts easily and runs well sounding very nice, with good oil pressure.
It pulls strongly and the brakes also pull up well.
Overall, not perfect, but a good sound useable and now rare car, with plenty of room for five to travel at a good speed in comfort.
The car comes with its original buff logbook, (showing the first owner to be Austin of Longbridge! ), lots of old mot’s, factory hard bound handbook, and a modern V5C showing 4 previous owners.
The car is mot’ed until June, after which it will be exempt, or if you prefer we can re mot on sale, it will also have a full service on sale.
