1975 Buick Regal Colonnade Coupe For Sale

This is a 1975 Buick Regal Colonnade Coupe, only 56, 646 were manufactured in that model year and not many of these left. This car is one of the lucky survivors, although not completely factory original. She is sadly still up for sale for the right person as I want the car to go to a good home.
I don’t know much about the history of the car unfortunately. I bought the Buick in January 2015 and imported it from the State of New Hampshire, US in June 2015 from a classic car dealer. I’ve no idea in which state the car lived its life prior to that. I am the first registered keeper here in the UK.
The original 350 small block was replaced at some point in time with the mighty 455 Buick Big Block. Not sure which year the engine was produced so can’t comment on the horsepower, but boy it has a lot of torque. It is equipped with a 4 barrel carburettor. I am not a mechanic so I have no clue what transmission is in the car. It could be either the THM350 or THM400. Either way, both models are proved to be reliable over the decades.
Odometer reads 294xx, this is believed to be 1294xx miles, although I cannot verify this. I can’t verify the mileage of the engine since it’s not the original one.

Interior:
The factory seat covers are still on the seats. Carpet, headliner are in a really nice condition, no sagging. No crack on top of dashboard, slight crack on the side by the driver’s door. Plastic bits on door cards could use a re-spray as they are faded a bit. All lights work, gauges work. Clock and cruise control doesn’t work. Radio, AC blows cold, heating works.

Exterior:
It looks like the car was repainted in the past in its original colour (Golden Tan). Body work is really nice, panels are straight, no parking lot dings, some really minimal scuff marks on paintwork.
Vinyl top is also in great condition, not cracked or dried out.
Chrome still looks good, rear bumper shows the cars age a bit, but still shines nicely.
Rear plastic/ rubber bumper filler is cracked in a few places. An aftermarket one costs about 250 dollars in the States.
Sheet metal looks awesome in the trunk.
Mandatory amber indicators and fog light are working (they look stupid on the car though).
She sits on 15” Buick Mag Wheels.

Mechanicals:
When I got the Buick, the oil was seeping a little from the engine. We have replaced a couple of gaskets that rectified it. Engine runs beautifully, idles nicely, no strange noises, knocks. I had the radiator replaced with a three core one and also had the fan replaced with a bigger one. The car doesn’t overheat, I had the pleasure to test it during summer in traffic jams. Engine doesn’t burn oil, doesn’t use coolant.
Transmission shifts smoothly. No noises from brakes, shocks etc. I’ve spent £4000 in May last year to sort the Buick out. It was serviced by an American car specialist in Redhill, they are highly recommended by me. This also included replacing the original exhaust pipes as they were a bit rusted. They went over the car with a fine comb and sorted out any issues (car had no hand brake cable, no windshield washer container), I have all the service records.
Car frame (chassis) and some components in engine bay has superficial rust, which is normal for a vehicle this age. Nothing that some elbow grease wouldn’t fix. No rot or nasty surprises in that department. The Buick was never rust proofed (Ziebarted) maybe that is something the new keeper would want to do. I didn’t feel the need as I have never driven the car in rain or on salty roads. She is being kept in a secure and well ventilated underground parking lot under a car cover.
I have three sets of keys, service manual, and an almost complete gasket set that comes with a car. Car cover also comes with it. I have a few more bits and bobs that will come with the car. No road tax, car is MOT exempt and insurance is £16 a month with Footman James.
The Buick can be seen in London, I am more than happy to show it to you and take you for a ride and to have a face to face chat over a cup of tea or coffee. I am old fashioned like that. Cheers
