An exceptional and rare Trophy Yellow MG TF 135 with just 20,339 miles.

EQUIPMENT
Reinforced body structure, door side intrusion beams, body-colour bumpers and trim, tinted glass, bright sill finishers, seat belt pretensioners, fuel tank cage, high tensile tubes in A pillars, impact absorbing front and rear structures, laminated windscreen, high level brake lamp, remote central superlocking, Thatcham Category 2 immobiliser, perimetric and volumetric alarm system, heated electric door mirrors, panel lamp rheostat, drivers airbag, tonneau cover. Dealer accessories; Rubber tailored MG floor mats, CD Changer.

EXTERIOR
This absolutely outstanding MG TF sports car is finished in the rare and wonderfully vibrant Trophy Yellow, (Code FAR). The incredible paint finish is virtually flawless and entirely commensurate with the exceptionally low mileage covered by this cherished, garaged example, owned by just two keepers from new. The superb underside is beautifully clean with PDI marking still visible, and the original panels even display factory spot welds to the wheel arches. Very faint scratches can just be seen on one rear bumper corner and the drivers door handle has a small blemish, but barely worthy of mention. All trim sections are excellent and the manufacturer badges and Union Jack wing plates remain unblemished. The durable woven acrylic fabric grey hood is effortless in operation and in perfect condition, and the plastic rear screen is clear and undamaged. A truly exceptional example and without question one of the best.

INTERIOR
The comfortable yet snug ‘Ash’ cockpit offers real sports car appeal with open top motoring delights. The Sebring cloth fluted seat facings with plain black bolsters, (Code PVD), are in perfect order, and the matching door cards and black carpeting, protected by rubber over mats, are pristine and adhere to such cosseted ownership and little use. The flawless dashboard houses fully functioning switchgear, and the silver faced dials and chunky leather trimmed steering wheel emphasise the sports car appeal. The original snug MG tonneau is the genuine item for a super neat fit. A surprisingly large rear boot is pristine and houses the original MG Rover warning triangle and first aid kit, unopened and still in the cellophane! Look no further for top-down sports car fun!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original four cylinder 1796cc engine produces 136bhp at 6700rpm and 165Nm torque at 5000rpm enabling a top speed of 127mph and 0-60 in just 8.2 seconds. The mid-mounted engine and rear wheel drive configuration display all the correct sports car credentials to ensure optimum driving enjoyment! A cambelt and water pump change have just been carried out in April 2018. The short throw sports ratio five speed gearbox completes the package with precise changes. Exhilarating!

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted 15” square spoke alloy wheels are as new with original MG badged centre caps. The front and rear tyres of size 185/55 R15 and 205/50 R15 respectively show plenty of tread, and the spare wheel with original Goodyear GT65 tyre is secured in the front compartment along with the jack and brace stored in the leatherette bag. Originality seekers will be pleased to see factory protective wax and PDI markings in the front luggage compartment. The braking system incorporates electronic anti-lock assistance and discs all round (ventilated front) to offer positive stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new under the MG Rover staff vehicle scheme by Rover GMBH on the 13th September 2002, this outstanding MG TF has covered an incredibly low 20,339 miles from new, with just one former keeper. The first owner, Mrs Annette Allsopp, an employee of Rover purchased the car for £14,399 with just 9 miles on the clock, as confirmed by the purchase key tag issued by Rover GMBH. Mrs Allsopp owned the vehicle for 13 years whereby it was purchased by the previous keeper, Mrs Tracy Gordon in October 2015. Used as a dry weather weekend car by both owners and kept garaged, this exceptionally low mileage example has been preserved in amazing order.

The original handbook and service book is stamped with six entries, the most recent carried out at 19,149 miles, and a cambelt and water pump change in April 2018 has been carried out to offer complete peace of mind. There are two original keys with remote fobs and code card. Previous MOT certificates in the history file further validate the genuine low mileage. A dedicated enthusiast club scene, coupled with excellent parts supply network and easy maintenance, make good examples are a sheer joy to own. This pristine MG TF offers the complete package of a preserved, well maintained and superb performing example, fast becoming a hugely desirable modern classic.

MOT April 2019, HPI Clear.
