This will make a really great early Series 2 restoration project.
Registered on 11th October 1958 chassis number the details below was registered in Gloucestershire as WAD 419 which it still retains to this day.
The registration is valuable and transferable but it would be a shame to part them after all this time.
Manufactured in Sept 1958
Only 2 owners from new showing on the up to date V5 document the last owner for 36 years!
WAD was one of the first Series 2's to have the new 2.25 petrol engine fitted in fact the 220th!
Bronze green from new and a hardtop from new as well.
Last on the road in 1983 it has luckily been barn stored which has saved it.
Amazingly it starts on the button and the engine sounds nice, blowing exhaust apart!
All gears engage and the clutch is fully functioning.
Luckily most of it's original features survive incl all four wheels dated 1958!
Original 3 bolt tailgate
Original early front valance with one bolt per side and galvanised front.
Correct wiper motors and screw vent.
Sparto rear stop lamps and indicators
Original chassis with chassis number visible on the front dumb iron.
Chassis is definately saveable with some work.
Bulkhead will need footwells and work on the top rail but has not been bodged over the years.
At some point prior to 1983 it had headlights put in the wings but luckily it is only the front wing panel that has been changed and these are available as new old stock to put it back to correct spec.
It is getting very difficult to find these early Series 2 projects and will be well worth the effort to restore it given the increasing values.
