This is a recreation of the Works six-cylinder car the was being built for the 1966 Le Mans. Due to rule changes, the car was never completed.
ADU 5A is now booked for the 2018 Le Mans classic so I'm afraid that you are probably too late but please feel free to contact me; I may be persuaded?
This Triumph is very fast, and reliable. It exudes confidence whilst driving and attracts interest wherever it goes. This is NOT a kit car!
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuporB5Ex3Y about 11 seconds in at Top Hill. See the reaction of the crowd.
ADU 5A is UK registered as a 1963 Triumph Spitfire Sports with its 2000cc engine capacity also recorded upon the V5 UK registration document. The car has been a regular presence at many events including the Brooklands Double Twelve, Kop Hill and Goodwood Member’s Meetings. ADU 5A also attended the 2012 and 2016 Le Mans Classic during which the car was driven by Claude Dubois. Claude drove the car in a very spirited way belying his age. He commented how lively the car was and how much it reminded him of his drive in the ‘Works’ Triumph Spitfire at Le Mans in 1965; he even signed the driver’s side roof. Valued at £70,000 for insurance purposes, ADU 5A is offered at a very attractive price and certainly reflects the spirit of the 1960’s Triumph racing cars; a tribute to a bygone age of Le Mans motor racing.
Complete with x2 sets of wheels, the Le Mans wheels, a set of four Minilites and various other bits & bobs.
