She starts instantly and idles nicely, driving away without fuss. The gearchange is positive yet slick, the brakes pull up strong and straight and the steering is direct and slop-free. The revs build freely and she feels strong on the road with good oil pressure and low/normal temperature; she has clearly been well-maintained with no untoward noises, no smoke and ‘taut’ on the road.
The paintwork is very good (the nose having been recently painted for stone-chip correction) with just a couple of small usage-related marks, no sign of corrosion and waxoyl-protected underside.
The Crema/Nero interior is still very smart with just a small area of wear to the driver’s seat bolster and it appears that all instruments and electrical items are working correctly, including the electric mirrors and windows. The roof panel lifts off easily and appears to seal well.
In the engine-bay boot with its zip-closure panel remains the original factory equipment tool kit and pouches, 3 in all.
Finally, very good 16-inch, 5-spoke Ferrari/Cromadora alloys, shod in as-new Pirelli P-Zeros all round (225/50 and 205/55s respectively).
In summary, a rare, UK/RHD pre-ABS 328 looking really smart in Nero which has been both used and well-maintained. The extensive history file, Ferrari leather wallet/books, 2 sets of keys and tool rolls complete a very attractive 328 GTS.
Note: the personal number plate will not be sold with the car.
