I'm selling my stunning RHD 1967 Mercedes 250SL Pagoda. She was restored approx 5 years ago by a collector, so her bodywork and interior are in splendid condition, admired by all who see her. She drives superbly and I've recently put new rear brakes and shocks on her and renewed the seals around the hard top roof (she was letting in water around the front seal when washing her, she's never used in the wet). She's an amazing car that has been cherished so deserves the same by whomever has the privilege to own her next.
The car has loads of service history and MOT's with the current one not due until September but I'd happily do a pre-MOT with any interested party.
She's a right hand drive UK supplied 250SL and also a rear 'California Coupe'. There was a limited production of these 250SL's made for the UK market in 1967 (for the truly wealthy) which means the car does NOT have a soft top retractable roof below but instead has a 'bench/storage' in its place. Given that these cars are nowadays ordinarily used in fair weather only, she is perfect as I either have the hard top on during the colder months or store it in my garage and drive her in all of her glory roofless on a warm/sunny day, so a soft top (which by all account isn't overly aesthetically pleasing) has never been missed.
I'm only considering selling her because I've got my eye on a 190SL and there's no space left in my garage, so I can only have one or the other (unfortunately).
Please contact me for more details and to arrange to come and view her. I'm based in NW London.
