1973 MGB with 6 cylinder MGC engine - fully restored For Sale
1973 (M Registation) MGB Roadster finished in British Racing Green. This car has undergone a nut and bolt restoration, with the centre piece being a 6 cylinder, 3000cc engine, originally from an MGC.
The car has the original speedometer which reads 51500 miles, but this was mainly covered by the original engine. The current engine has only done about 400 miles since the restoration.
During the extensive restoration, the following work was undertaken –
Brand new back half chassis
New floor pans and sills
Uprated front disc brakes
Back brake drums skimmed and relined
Extensive engine work done by a professional engineering firm (see receipts)
Wire wheels and new tyres
Uprated radiator and fan
Full respray and undersealed
Cock pit refurbished, with new steering wheel, mats and carpets
Complete new exhaust system
Bonnet re-profiling to accept the new engine
4 speed gearbox plus overdrive
There is an extensive folder of receipts following the history of the restoration, with over £11000 having being spent . The car is always stored in a dry garage, and has wanted for nothing. The car is tax exempt, and has a current MOT valid until June 2019.
A much loved vehicle, but my next restoration project is arriving and it is time to say good bye.
