1985 Very Rare MG Maestro 2.0EFI Digidash For Sale
Extremely reluctant sale of a MG Maestro 2.0 EFI
I have searched for one of these for 10 years and was extremely lucky to find this one.
I am convinced that you will not find such an original car like this easily.
Fresh MOT with no advisories.
Drives great with no clunks or knocks.
What makes this so rare is the fact it is the very first 2.0 EFI with a Solid state Digi Dash with the voice of Nicolette Mackenzie. Most 2.0 are with analogue dash and facelift interior and bumpers so this is in a cross over year.
Dash all works with voice, occasionally when it is cold the dash can flicker and the speedo not work, however once warm no issues. Suspect oxidised connector. In the summer no issues.
It has the original sale letter for the first owner, it was purchased in Canterbury back in 1985.
It comes with the books and service book
Has some history and all of the receipts for the work completed.
I have completed the following:
New fan switch
Alloy wheel refurbished
Oil and filter change
New SPark plugs
New distributor cap
Comes with spare coil, rotor arm, cambelt and original radio.
The floors and chassis are solid
The Engine starts on the button,
See photos for areas that will need care in the future, some surface rust on drivers door, doorstep and roof with bubbling but solid.
Please remember this is 34 years old.
Completely original and in reasonably good condition
Ideally Sunvisors do need replacing or changing
Carpets are very good condition
Has parcel shelf
In summary a very original Condition 2 car with some history. very few previous owners and has been well cared for.
It is a joy to drive and am really sad I have to let it go however we just have not got the storage undercover any more to guarantee and preserve the vehicle for the future.
Can be driven away
