Its finally come the time to sell my bay westy.
I've owned her since 2001 and she's been a great, reliable old girl.
Running a stock 1600 twin port with beetle oil bath air cleaner providing a massive 50BHP.
Stainless stock style exhaust with stainless tailpipe.
4 speed manual transmission with EMPI style gear shifter.
New kunifer brake pipes a few years back.
Recent new fuel lines.
Bodywork could do with some work, especially the front panel, front arches and lower sliding door.
She's been brush painted with coach paint.
Chassis is pretty solid for a 46 year old camper though she could do with some TLC as she's been patched up over the past 18 years i've owned her. She's passed every MOT since we've owned her though.
Original Westfalia continental interior (UK Helsinki) with wardrobe/gas bottle locker, sink and hob. 2 way (gas and 12V) fridge mounted where the coolbox would have originally been.
Full width rock n roll bed. Simply pulls out to create a 5ft+ wide 6ft 3" bed.
Seats/bed were recovered before we bought her but i believe some of the original westfalia mustard fabric is possibly still under the covers if you like your 70s originality.
ZIG CF8 240v system.
Eberspacher B1L petrol heater (which could do with a service as it won't fire up at the moment).
Couple of extra 12v sockets in the rear to charge phones etc. 12v socket in dash for sat nav or phone charging.
Sony radio cassette with 4 speakers (2 in the cab doors and 2 in the overhead locker).
Mazda MX5 front seats with 160W headrest speakers (not connected up but they're there if you want to deafen yourself).
Solar panel on roof rack with dual battery solar regulator.
Split charge relay and leisure battery (though leisure battery is likely past its best now).
Front hinging elevating roof for extra (over 6ft) of headroom when camping. It's nice being able to stand up while putting on your trousers without giving yourself a concussion. ;)
Canvas could do with replacement as i believe its the original from 1973.
No bed in the roof anymore though they are still available new.
Westfalia style towbar and wiring. Rear fog light.
Under dash shelf for all your roadtrip goodies.
Huge truck mirrors.
Comes with an old 1960s/70s canvas Raleigh frame awning which could do with a few small repairs.
Flew through her MOT again with no advisories, so good until the end of April 2020, though being over 40 years old she's now MOT exempt anyway.
