1977 Alfa Romeo Montreal Original 36.000KM NL reg For Sale
This particular Alfa Montreal was dry stored for many years being part of a collection, the odometer show’s only 36.000KM, and with this reason, the Montreal remained in its genuine/original condition. It’s one of the last (approx 27pc) produced Montreal’s which was sold by an Alfa Dealer in Holland (Tappel/Assen) on 11-03-1977 with only three owners until now.
The Montreal was re-sprayed in the beginning of 2015 back into it’s original and very attractive factory delivered Argento Metallizzato/AR741 and completely (technically) overhauled.
This comprehensive restoration includes,
Complete in detail overhauled engine (incl Spica pump, ignition, alternator, starter)
Gearbox overhauled (done by the official ZF S5-18/3 agent in NL)
New clutch kit, end to end revised prop-shaft, new rear axle/differential oil seals, gaskets, and limiter straps. Furthermore all the hoses are new, all clutch/brake cylinders revised/renewed, resurfaced brake discs, revised calipers, new brake lines/pads.
New original Carello head beams, windshield gasket, exhaust mufflers and Vredestein tires.
Car comes with a limited track record during his first years, the former owner documented the car quite well with invoices going back to 1998 and during the restoration-works everything was documented and can be proved with invoices and photos.
A not very known fact is, that the last hundred produced Montreal’s were equipped with a smaller rear seat, this measure allows taller people to have a more conformable driving position versus earlier produced cars.
For those who are really interested in the purchase of a genuine "turn key" Montreal, I gladly take the time to give full info during a visit.
