1972 MG B ROADSTER 4000 MILES SINCE RESTORATION For Sale
With it's rack and pinion steering, a low centre of gravity and almost 100 bhp to play with the MGB was a revelation back in the early 60s. It sounded great and was low geared enough to give pretty good acceleration, especially through the gears, which is where it counts. So, with the wind blowing through your hair on a sunny day.....what better way to bring back happy memories.
The example we offer here is a UK market RHD car, first registered on the 17th May 1972 and is the much favoured recess radiator grille variation. In 1992, the car was subject to a nut and bolt rebuild by renown MG specialists Southern Classics Ltd of Chertsey. At the time of the rebuild a Gold Seal recoditioned engine was fitted. The car has done just 4000 miles since.
The MG is an Overdrive model and rides on chrome wire wheels shod with nearly new tyres. The electrical system has been converted to a 12 volt battery instead of the usual 2 x 6 volt system. The car is finished in Tartan red with a black leather interior.
The history file contains a thick wad of invoices including the original bill for the restoration from Southern Classics, together with a photographic record of the restoration process. The file also contains most of the MOTs going back to 1976.
Part exchange welcome, funds either way.
