We attended the IMM at Silverstone in 1994 and at that time had 300+ members (ah those were the days!). The Register was also present at the Press Launch of the Mini 35 at Gaydon, a couple of us getting to have lunch with John Cooper, Paddy Hopkirk, Alex Moulton and many other Mini personalities!

Not to mention driving the famous Monte winner and the first ever Mini round the track! 1993-95 were our busiest years attending shows all over the country, it seemed like every weekend was spent under canvas!

The Register provided information and members cars for the Mini World Magazine Anniversary edition guides and our cars were seen in many magazines and on television at Gaydon, recently providing information for a Mini Magazine special on the 1100 Special in 2008.

In 1999 the Register was asked to supply a car for Mini Magazine's special 40th anniversary issue's article on the significant Minis, the Silver 1100 Special in those photos was one of our club stand mainstays.

For many years we ran our own events, Annual Meet, Tour and the legendary week holiday in Scotland at new year known as the Turkey Run.

We have had a club stand with members cars at the national Mini Owners Club show at Stanford Hall in Lutterworth every year since 1991!!

A few years ago the Mini scene took a bit of a dive and low attendance to events caused us to stop our other events and concentrate on the Turkey Run, also limiting our attendance at other clubs' events. Eventually the Turkey Run itself was put on ice as attendance figures fell, but who knows it may rear it's feathered head once more?

If you have one of those models why not join? They are all so rare now we need to stick together!!
