Unfortunately, this year we can’t put on our full programme of festivals, so we are putting the best bits from all the festivals in to one big weekend, dedicated to celebrating the centenary of the Becontree Estate, the largest housing estate in the UK. Classic cars were a fan favourite from the Steam & Cider Fair, so we are bringing that to the Becontree Estate and hoping for this to be the highlight with a sea of classic cars. We need your help in doing this, so bring your classic vehicle to showcase to our borough residents.
Sunday’s programme celebrates the rich musical history of the borough and the Roundhouse pub home to the Becontree Estate which has played host to some of the world’s most famous rock bands. Established in 1969 as the Village Blues Club, it was considered to be East London’s premier rock venue. The event is back by popular demand and this year will be bigger with more family attractions and big names in music! Our stage will star rock and ska acts from 60s and 70s plus new music as part of the Roundhouse Unsigned Competition. The event will include music, dance, exhibitions, classic car exhibition, international food stalls, tearoom, arena acts, family fun, rides and attractions.
