Car & Classic Revamp – We’ve Been to the Body Shop!

As you’ll know by now, Car & Classic was acquired by automotive fintech, Cazana, back in August 2018. And as you’ll have seen, the acquisition hasn’t impacted on the look and feel of the site. The team here is passionate about specialist and classic cars, and we were all more than aware of the faithful and dedicated user base that has made Car & Classic such a success. Each month, we enjoy over 16,000,000 page impressions from over 2,000,000 unique visitors. And it’s you, as one of those visitors, that have made Car & Classic Europe’s largest specialist and classic car website. So on that basis, thank you!

For over eighteen months, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to improve the site without altering the functionality or look and feel. We have spent literally hundreds of hours refining and improving the once tired and clattery engine that powers Car & Classic. Now, if you could see under the faithful green and yellow bodywork, you would see a gleaming V12 purring away without an issue.

You’ll also notice the new features we have built into the site. You can now register and create a profile for yourself. From here, you can set up alerts for new listings, you can create saved searches and of course, you can manage any of your own adverts. And let’s not forget the Magazine site, on which there are over 350 articles created by our in-house editorial team.

We’ve made the site a more attractive digital showroom for dealers, who can now expand on their listings with highlighted, promoted posts and an even greater number of images, meaning the browsing experience for end users is even more immersive.

Now that we have the mechanicals sorted out, it’s time to look at the bodywork. But worry not, as we’ve gone for a careful restoration rather than a silly body kit. You’ll see we have a new logo for starters. The Bentley of old was lovely, but here at Car & Classic we’re a broad church of all things automotive. As such, our new logo symbolises the road, and with it, the adventures you’re going to have on whatever wheels, four or two, you purchase.

We’ve tweaked the layout of the site, and we’ve also updated some other visuals to smarten things up. We want Car & Classic to look fresh, clean and ultimately, to be as user friendly as possible, and we’re confident these little but significant changes will facilitate that. 

We’re here to make Car & Classic work for you, and we’re confident these first steps will cement that ethos. Car & Classic is more than a website, it’s a brand, it’s a destination and it’s your central hub for all things car and all things classic.
