500cc DBD34 GOLD STAR Clubman 1957 with matching engine and chassis numbers and still carrying its original registration number. This 1956 BSA DBD34 Scrambler has matching numbers. It was exported to Hap Alzina the USA West Coast distributor and then re-imported back to England in the late 1980’s.
Chuck Minerton won the 1956 Catalina GP on a DBD34 Scrambler and in 1959, BSA created the ‘Catalina’ in tribute to his win.

I bought this B40 a little over a decade ago. At that point she had sat forgotten in a shed for around 30 years. I have a couple of before pictures.
She then had a full restoration, with the engine, frame, wheels etc completely rebuilt - re using as many original parts as possible.

This machine is a b31 1954 frame with a 1947 competition b32 engine and gearbox fitted.
Nice older restoration which I was informed by the previous owner ,was carried out several years back by an ex BSA mechanic.
Looks and sounds nice ,good chrome and plenty of stainless replacement parts,good classic .....
